Role Overview

InMobi is recruiting a SQL Data Analyst Intern for a 6-month mentor-led internship at its office in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

In this backend-focused analytics role, each intern is paired with a senior data mentor to build the data foundation that powers enterprise reporting. Rather than generating surface-level charts, your primary responsibility will be writing complex SQL queries, executing multi-table Joins, applying Window Functions, optimizing database execution plans, and validating data integrity before it reaches live executive dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• SQL Query Engineering: Write, refine, and maintain production SQL queries to extract, transform, and join multi-source operational ad-tech data.

• Advanced Data Manipulation: Utilize complex Joins, aggregate functions, and Window Functions(ROW_NUMBER(), LAG(), LEAD(), PARTITION BY) for trend analysis.

• Query Optimization & Performance: Analyze query execution plans, optimize indexing, and refactor slow-running queries to reduce database load.

• Data Validation & ETL: Maintain data hygiene, perform data audit checks, and structure data models feeding into Power BI and Microsoft Excel.

• Documentation & Reviews: Document query logic, schema mappings, and dataset definitions according to InMobi’s enterprise quality standards.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Educational Background

• Target Degrees: Current students and fresh graduates in B.E. / B.Tech, B.Sc / M.Sc (Statistics / Mathematics / Data Science), BCA / MCA, B.Com, or BBA / MBA.

• Graduating Batches: 2026 and 2027 (Final-year students and recent graduates).

• Academic Threshold: 60% or 6.0 CGPA and above preferred (consistent performance is valued, but personal projects and technical skill are weighed alongside marks).

Technical & Soft Skill Requirements

• Core Technical Stack: Willingness and basic knowledge of SQL, Joins, Window Functions, Query Optimization, Data Modeling, and Microsoft Excel.

• Good-to-Have Skills: Exposure to Power BI, Data Validation, ETL concepts, and database schema design.

• Soft Skills: Clear written English, analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and comfort participating in team code reviews.

• Location & Availability: Based in or willing to relocate to Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh for the 6-month duration (standard business hours, Monday to Friday).
