About the Data Analyst Role

Trellance is looking for a Data Analyst to support financial institutions through data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and data visualization.

The Data Analyst will work with senior analysts and other stakeholders to analyze credit union data, identify trends and actionable insights, and develop dashboards that support data-driven business decisions.

This opportunity is particularly suited to professionals with 2–3 years of data analytics experience who want to develop their career in financial services and credit union analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Cleaning

• Extract and consolidate data from multiple sources, including Snowflake, SQL databases, spreadsheets, and external APIs.
• Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Transform data from different sources into usable datasets for reporting and analytics.

Data Analysis

• Analyze credit union data to identify growth opportunities, trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights.
• Analyze data relevant to departments such as:
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Retail
  • Operations
  • Lending
• Perform statistical analysis to support business decisions.
• Source and transform unstructured data into meaningful information for reporting and project requirements.
• Translate analytical findings into insights that can be understood and acted upon by management.

Dashboard Development & Reporting

• Develop interactive and visually engaging dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
• Customize dashboards according to the reporting requirements of credit union management.
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards and dashboard versions.
• Visualize business performance, KPIs, and trends through effective data visualization.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc dashboards to monitor KPIs across:
  • Financial performance
  • Marketing
  • Operations
  • Lending
  • Membership
• Present analytical findings to credit union management in a clear and understandable manner.

Python & Automation

• Write and maintain Python code for data analysis, automation, and scripting tasks.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to support efficient data processing.
• Use Python where appropriate to automate analytical and data-processing workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of Data Analyst experience, preferably within a financial institution.
• Knowledge of SQL programming and database management.
• Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and dashboard development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical and analytical skills.
