About the Senior Data Analyst Role
Atlys is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to own critical business data end to end and help teams make better, data-driven decisions.
The role involves building metrics, dashboards, analytical frameworks, and reporting systems that serve as a trusted source of truth across the organization. The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with business, marketing, finance, and other teams to solve complex problems, identify growth opportunities, and turn data into clear business actions.
This role is ideal for an experienced analyst who can independently work with large and imperfect datasets, advanced SQL, business intelligence tools, and ambiguous business problems.
Key Responsibilities
Business Data & Reporting
- Own business data as a reliable source of truth.
- Ensure key metrics, reports, and dashboards are accurate, consistent, and trusted across teams.
- Build and continuously improve reporting systems and analytical frameworks.
- Develop decision-making systems across business, marketing, finance, and other core functions.
Data Analysis
- Write advanced SQL queries to analyze large and complex datasets.
- Identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and business opportunities.
- Transform complex datasets into clear and actionable insights.
- Investigate business problems and identify underlying root causes.
- Conduct independent analysis to support high-impact business decisions.
Metrics & KPI Development
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define meaningful business metrics.
- Establish and improve KPIs and measurement frameworks.
- Create clarity around business performance through effective measurement and reporting.
- Ensure teams have access to consistent and reliable performance information.
Data-Driven Problem Solving
- Structure ambiguous business questions into clear analytical problems.
- Diagnose root causes using data and analytical techniques.
- Develop recommendations that can improve business outcomes.
- Communicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Identify growth opportunities through data-driven analysis.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, or a similar role.
- Experience working in a fast-moving consumer or technology business is preferred.
- Strong expertise in SQL.
- Ability to independently work with large, complex, and imperfect datasets.
- Strong experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools.
- Ability to build dashboards that support decision-making rather than simply report numbers.
- Strong analytical and business judgment.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
