Job Description – Data Analyst (Fintech & Banking)

Location: Hyderabad

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Data Analyst to join our team in Hyderabad. The role involves analyzing operational and customer data from a large-scale fintech / banking ecosystem serving over 20 million customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to gain hands-on experience in large-scale data analytics, customer behavior analysis, operational intelligence, and progressively transition into Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in the Fintech / banking domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large volumes of customer and operational data generated from a fintech / banking platform serving more than 20 million customers.
• Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities from customer transactions, onboarding journeys, product usage, and operational processes.
• Develop dashboards, reports, MIS, and business insights using Excel and Power BI.
• Monitor key business and operational KPIs and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance.
• Analyze customer behavior, transaction patterns, product adoption, and engagement metrics.
• Perform segmentation, cohort analysis, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis to support business decision-making.
• Work closely with business, operations, product, and technology teams to understand analytical requirements and translate them into meaningful insights.
• Prepare presentations and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Participate in data preparation and analytical projects as part of the organization’s AI roadmap.

Required Skills

• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with strong proficiency in Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, data manipulation, dashboard creation, and analytical modeling.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools for reporting, dashboard development, and data visualization.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with large datasets and derive meaningful business insights.
• Strong understanding of business metrics, operational analytics, and customer analytics.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm to learn AI, Machine Learning, and advanced analytics techniques.
• Basic understanding of statistics, data science, and predictive analytics concepts.
• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, cards, digital onboarding, lending, or customer analytics will be an advantage.

Qualification & Experience

• B.Tech in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
• MBA from premier institute preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, MIS Reporting, Operations Analytics, or related roles.
• Coding in python for analysing data is an added advantage
