About the Role: Data Analyst (Financial & Operational BI)

SkillLabs is hiring a full-time, permanent Data Analyst to join its client operations track on-site in Ludhiana, Punjab. This introductory corporate track is tailored for entry-level technical minds bringing 0 to 1 year of experience who have a high capacity for data parsing and logical problem-solving.

As a Data Analyst, you will serve as an essential data handler for high-priority financial client portfolios. Your daily responsibilities will focus on collecting, cleaning, and verifying raw multi-source transactional summaries, portfolio logs, and market sheets. You will utilize SQL and Excel to manage data structures and build interactive visual management reports across Power BI or Tableau. Working closely with consulting leads and financial analysts, your dashboards will monitor business key performance indicators (KPIs), isolate market delivery patterns, and support data-driven choices across various regional teams.

Key Responsibilities & Data Analytics Workflows

  • Data Aggregation & Sanitisation: Gather, extract, filter, and validate high-volume financial data sets from multiple internal databases, client records, and transaction registries.

  • BI Tool Construction: Design, build, and continuously update functional data reports, performance graphs, and visual dashboards within Power BI or Tableau to display operational KPIs.

  • Trend & Pattern Dissection: Analyse regional market histories, credit risk indexes, and financial portfolio metrics to identify growth trends and operational improvements.

  • Cross-Functional Requirements Alignment: Collaborate with business consultants, client service executives, and project leaders to translate day-to-day corporate tracking needs into clean reporting layouts.

  • Ad-Hoc Analysis Support: Run quick data queries and rapid information deep-dives to provide data backing for urgent strategic, financial, and operational decisions.

  • Data Accuracy & Governance Enforcements: Ensure complete accuracy, systemic consistency, and structural integrity across client spreadsheet platforms and internal reporting tracks.

Candidate Prerequisites & Key Technical Skills

Candidates should exhibit a balanced mix of basic query writing, high comfort with relational data platforms, and a strong visual flair for structuring reports.

Required Experience & Educational Baseline:

  • Professional Tenure: 0 to 1 year of active background in database querying, business analysis, spreadsheet management, or intensive academic analytics capstones.

  • Academic Foundation: Graduation in any analytical, commercial, technical, or humanities discipline (UG paths accepted include B.Com, B.Tech/B.E., B.C.A., B.B.A./B.M.S., B.Sc, B.Pharma, or B.A.).

  • Core Spreadsheet Stack: Hands-on experience and complete operational comfort navigating Advanced Excel configurations.

  • Data Visualization Literacy: Practical exposure or structured training in building reporting interfaces inside business intelligence applications like Power BI or Tableau.
