Role Overview
Veracity Software is hiring a Jr Data Analyst on a full-time, remote basis in India.
In this role, you will maintain business metrics, design performance reporting frameworks, and analyze system data to deliver actionable insights. Working within the Microsoft Data Stack, you will build data integration packages using SSIS, generate analytical reporting using SSRS, write complex SQL queries, and troubleshoot data discrepancies to drive continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction, Reporting & Analytics

Business Metrics: Develop, automate, and maintain core business dashboards and KPI reports to provide operational insights across teams.

SQL Slicing & Dicing: Author, optimize, and execute complex SQL
SELECTqueries, stored procedures, and joins to extract and analyze structured datasets. -
Reporting Systems: Utilize SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and Power BI to present descriptive analytical insights to stakeholders.
ETL & Data Pipeline Operations

ETL Workflows: Build and maintain data integration pipelines using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to handle data transformation and staging.

Data Cube Analysis: Assist with multidimensional data models using SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) where applicable.
System Optimization & Issue Resolution

Remediation & Enhancements: Detect data anomalies, troubleshoot system issues, and implement bug fixes across analytical applications.

Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in reporting infrastructure and recommend automated workflows to increase data processing efficiency.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
Educational Requirements & Experience

Education: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.

Professional Experience: 1 to 2 years of practical experience in data analysis, SQL querying, and enterprise reporting systems.
Technical Skillset

Core Database Skills: Strong querying logic, deep data interpretation skills, and expertise in complex SQL syntax.

Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI): Hands-on working experience with SSIS and SSRS. Exposure to SSAS is a distinct advantage.

Business Intelligence Tooling: Familiarity or practical experience with Power BI for visual reporting and dynamic dashboard creation.
