Role Overview

Sansera Engineering is looking for an enthusiastic Data Analyst – Trainee to join its Business Intelligence team in Bengaluru.
In this entry-level position, you will work directly on operational and manufacturing data pipelines. You will collect and transform multi-source datasets, build data models, write Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), design interactive Power BI dashboards, and automate standard reporting routines across engineering and business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering & Preparation: Ingest, clean, transform, and reconcile raw operational data from multiple business systems using Power Query.
  • Dashboard & Report Development: Build, maintain, and publish user-friendly, interactive dashboards and visual analytics in Power BI.
  • Data Modeling & DAX: Construct star-schema data models, define relationships, and write calculated columns and DAX measures for KPI tracking.
  • Process Automation: Streamline and automate manual, repetitive data collection and reporting workflows using Excel macros or Power Automate.
  • Data Integrity & Support: Conduct thorough data validation checks to guarantee accuracy, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies.

Educational Qualification & Skill Requirements

  • Eligible Degrees:
    • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
    • Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
    • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science
    • Any equivalent degree with demonstrated analytical capabilities
  • Core Technical Competencies:
    • Power BI: Fundamental understanding of Power BI Desktop, Power Query Editor, and report building.
    • DAX & Data Modeling: Basic knowledge of DAX functions (CALCULATE, SUMX, RELATED, time-intelligence) and relational data modeling principles.
    • Microsoft Excel: Proficiency in formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
  • Good-to-Have Skills:
    • Completion of a certified Power BI certification or course.
    • Exposure to Power Automate, Power Apps, or SAP ERP modules.
  • Key Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, high attention to precision, effective communication, and a proactive willingness to learn.
