Role Overview – Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at Arcana, you will be responsible for working with massive financial datasets (100TB+) covering over 100,000 global companies. Your primary role will be to ensure data accuracy, validation, and reporting, while delivering actionable insights for business and investment decisions.

This is a hybrid, full-time role based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, offering flexibility along with exposure to global financial data systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and manage large volumes of financial data daily
  • Design and enhance data quality frameworks
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring
  • Resolve Level 1 & Level 2 data quality issues, escalating complex cases when needed
  • Use SQL for querying, joins, and performance optimization
  • Apply Python for data analysis, automation, and scripting
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting systems
  • Work with big data environments (100TB+ datasets)
  • Apply statistical techniques to identify anomalies and ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources

Required Skills

Candidates applying for this role should have:

  • Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and reconciliation concepts
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Python programming
  • Experience with dashboarding tools such as Power BI or Tableau

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in BCA, MCA, or Engineering
