Role Overview
Barclays is hiring a Data Analyst for its Data Curation and Engagement team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality business, regulatory, and client reporting while enabling advanced analytics solutions.
You will work closely with stakeholders to analyze requirements, perform data discovery, and develop scalable data solutions. The role also emphasizes data governance, process improvement, and innovation in analytics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Analysis & Solution Development
- Analyze business requirements and perform data discovery
- Design and prototype data transformation and reporting solutions
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to solve complex problems
- Build and automate data pipelines for efficient data processing
2. Data Quality & Governance
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
- Investigate data quality issues, lineage, and controls
- Maintain documentation for compliance and reporting
- Implement strong data governance practices
3. Reporting & Insights
- Develop reporting frameworks and analytical dashboards
- Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders
- Support reporting continuity during system/platform changes
- Optimize reporting and analytics processes
4. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business and technical teams
- Translate technical insights into business-friendly language
- Drive process improvements and innovation
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in SQL, SAS, and Databricks
- Experience in data analysis, transformation, and reporting
- Knowledge of data pipelines and automation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
