About the Role: Associate Business Data Analyst
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for automation and building interactive dashboards? First Advantage is hiring a full-time, permanent Associate Business Data Analyst to join its expanding analytics team in India (Remote/Office locations). This execution-focused role is designed for professionals with 3+ years of core analytical experience who excel at transforming raw database logs into automated business trackers.
As an Associate Business Data Analyst, you will manage operational reporting lines and eliminate manual tracking bottle-necks across multiple lines of business (LOBs). You will take ownership of the full data pipeline—from building complex data consolidation models in Excel to deploying unified dashboard environments in Power BI. Working within a collaborative global framework, you will support cross-functional teams with data validations, spot data quality issues, and automate repetitive workflows to keep stakeholders well-informed.
Key Responsibilities & Reporting Automation Workflows

MIS Dashboard Standardisation: Develop, test, and standardise corporate Management Information Systems (MIS) dashboards to measure key result areas (KRAs) across various operations.

Data Validation & Quality Auditing: Support ongoing operations by executing on-demand data extracts, structural validations, and consistency checks across underlying databases.

Reporting Tracker Automation: Build automated data workflows using VBA macros and Power Query to combine disparate trackers and minimise human intervention.

Database Management & Refresh Governance: Oversee secure access protocols and establish automated data refresh schedules for active business reports.

Process Improvement Analysis: Analyse complex business metrics to discover underlying trends and outline actionable process changes that enhance operational throughput.

Stakeholder Visualisation Engineering: Create visually impactful, scannable, and clean charts (including layered distribution and column trend vectors) to communicate performance simply.

Cross-Functional Information Gathering: Represent the analytics team during project syncs and briefing sessions, translating stakeholder business questions into structured technical definitions.

Required Experience & Educational Baseline:

Professional Tenure: Minimum 3+ years of experience in a data analytics, business reporting, or operational tracking role.

Academic Base: Minimum requirement of 10+2 schooling or equivalent with demonstrated quantitative aptitude.

Core Competencies: High learning agility, precise attention to detail, exceptional teamwork traits, and strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
Core Technical Stack Competencies:

Advanced Spreadsheet Engineering: Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel, including deep expertise in writing logical formulas, configuring pivot tables, utilising Power Pivot, and managing Power Queries.

Business Intelligence Tooling: Hands-on development experience building structured dashboards within interactive BI applications, with a clear preference for Power BI.
