About the Data Analyst Role

TCS is looking for a Data Analyst to support business and operational decision-making through data-driven insights. The role involves analyzing operational and customer data, developing dashboards and reports, monitoring key performance metrics, and working with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze datasets to identify trends, bottlenecks, risks, and process improvement opportunities.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data models to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Provide data-driven insights to improve customer experience and service performance.
• Analyze opportunities to reduce repeat customer contacts and improve operational outcomes.
• Monitor key operational metrics and highlight important trends and risks.
• Collaborate with business teams and subject matter experts to validate findings.
• Support the development of improvement plans based on analytical insights.
• Translate complex datasets into clear and actionable recommendations for leadership and operational teams.
• Support reporting and analytics automation initiatives.
• Contribute to data quality improvement and reporting consistency.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Experience working with operational, customer, or business performance data.
• Ability to understand business processes and convert data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL Server, Python, or similar analytics technologies.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
• Experience in Utilities, Customer Operations, BPS/BPO, or Shared Services environments.
