About the Role

Precision AQ is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to lead analytics initiatives focused on oncology patient journeys, line of therapy (LoT), brand analytics, and structured claims/patient data.

The role involves transforming large healthcare and claims datasets into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making for clients. You will work with cross-functional teams across HEOR, market access, strategy, engineering, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute analytics projects focused on patient journeys, line-of-therapy mapping, and brand analytics.
• Analyze structured claims and patient datasets, including DRG, IQVIA, McKesson, and Symphony claims.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand treatment patterns, patient pathways, and healthcare utilization.
• Support HEOR/HCRU analyses, including prevalence, incidence, disease burden, and cost-of-illness studies.
• Develop and present client-facing insights using dashboards, PowerPoint, and visual analytics.
• Build and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines.
• Use Python and Excel for automation, analysis, and data processing.
• Collaborate with HEOR, market-access, strategy, and engineering teams.
• Gather requirements and communicate analytical approaches, timelines, and project execution plans to stakeholders.
• Ensure data integrity, governance, documentation, and reproducibility.
• Independently manage workload, communicate project progress, and drive successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall experience, including 3+ years in relevant analytics roles.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience working with structured datasets such as:
  • DRG
  • Symphony
  • IQVIA
  • McKesson
• Strong proficiency in:
  • SQL
  • Python
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
• Experience working with pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare analytics organizations.
• Exposure to Real-World Evidence (RWE) data sources, including EHR/EMR and CMS datasets.
• Understanding of Line of Therapy (LoT) frameworks, treatment guidelines, and market-access structures.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Python and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of data modeling and statistical techniques.
• Client-facing experience with the ability to translate complex analytics into clear business insights.
• Familiarity with therapy areas such as:
  • Oncology
  • Immunology
  • Rare diseases
• Experience conducting stakeholder workshops.
• Experience building interactive dashboards.
• Experience working with global teams and multi-geography datasets.
