Job Overview

Deloitte is hiring a Business Analyst – AI in Mumbai to work with its Enabling Area / AI Team. The role focuses on connecting business requirements with modern analytics and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions, including LLM integrations and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, data scientists, ML engineers, UX and platform teams to shape AI-enabled products and support their delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder interviews, workshops and process walkthroughs.
• Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create BRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Perform gap analysis and feasibility assessments.
• Connect business goals with product features through clear traceability.
• Help shape AI product vision, roadmaps and backlogs.
• Prioritise features based on value, feasibility and risk.
• Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement and reviews.
• Translate business use cases into LLM and GenAI solutions.
• Work with Data Science and ML teams on RAG, prompt engineering and AI evaluation.
• Coordinate data availability, model monitoring and AI governance.
• Support security, privacy, cost and performance considerations.
• Conduct demos, validate requirements and manage UAT.
• Prepare training materials, playbooks and user guides.
• Communicate project status, risks and mitigation plans to leadership.
• Support post-launch analysis and continuous improvement.
• Maintain journey maps, process flows, personas, wireframes and QA/test plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or Business.
• MBA is an added advantage.
• Typically 3–5 years of experience in Business Analyst or Product roles.
• Strong experience in requirements management and Agile delivery.
• Experience managing enterprise stakeholder requirements and product backlogs.

Must-Have Skills

• Business analysis: requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and UAT.
• Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO) and Confluence.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Understanding of LLMs and Generative AI.
• Knowledge of RAG, AI evaluation, guardrails and data governance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Data Science, Engineering and UX teams.

Experience or exposure to:

• Prompt design and engineering
• GenAI evaluation
• Vector databases
• AI/ML model lifecycle
• AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Modern data and machine learning tools

Work Model

This is a hybrid role based in Mumbai, with flexibility for stakeholder workshops, product demonstrations and UAT activities at office or client locations when required.
