Role Overview

ByteDance is seeking a Data Analyst Project Intern (Training & Quality) in Gurgaon to support management decision-making across content moderation business lines.
You will be responsible for building operational Management Information System (MIS) frameworks, maintaining reporting dashboards, running statistical analyses on quality metrics, and translating operational data into actionable efficiency recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • MIS & Reporting Frameworks: Develop, streamline, and maintain a robust MIS framework to monitor operational health and moderation efficiency.
  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Use statistical techniques to analyze data, identify trends, and generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
  • Database Maintenance: Acquire data from primary/secondary operational sources and ensure data integrity within internal tracking repositories.
  • Process Optimization: Partner with quality and training leads to translate analytical findings into workflow improvements.
  • Management Presentations: Prepare visual summaries, dashboards, and analytical briefings for senior operations leaders.

Required & Preferred Qualifications

  • Academic Enrollment: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s (BS) or Master’s (MS) degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets (complex lookup formulas, nested logic, PivotTables, arrays).
    • Fundamental understanding of statistical analysis techniques and data collection workflows.
  • Soft Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical reasoning, high detail orientation, and excellent written and verbal English communication.
  • Preferred: Prior experience building automated operational dashboards or handling high-volume operational MIS datasets.
