Technical Scope & Product Architecture

The Associate Senior Product Owner (OFM) bridges operational finance, data engineering, and artificial intelligence to drive the digital transformation of financial governance, fiduciary controls, and audit processes across World Bank operations. The position manages the product lifecycle for an enterprise-scale Agentic AI Platform:

Core Responsibilities

  • AI Strategy & Product Roadmap: Formulate and execute end-to-end product roadmaps embedding Generative AI, LLM orchestration, and Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) into operational financial workflows (e.g., automated ledger matching, policy compliance).

  • Agile Backlog Management: Maintain, refine, and prioritize the product backlog using SAFe and Scrum frameworks. Translate complex financial and ML requirements into actionable user stories with probabilistic performance thresholds (precision, recall, confidence scores).

  • MLOps & Model Lifecycle Oversight: Manage model training, validation, production deployment, drift monitoring, and feedback loops across Azure, AWS, Databricks, or Snowflake data platforms.

  • Smart Automation & Anomaly Detection: Oversee the development of NLP and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) engines for extracting data from legal agreements, receipts, and contracts; design real-time anomaly engines for fraud and error detection.

  • Fiduciary Governance & Responsible AI: Build explainability frameworks, bias mitigation tools, auditable decision trails, and Human-In-The-Loop (HITL) oversight mechanisms that satisfy internal/external audit and cybersecurity compliance.

  • Stakeholder & Change Management: Connect Financial Management Specialists, Accountants, Auditors, Treasury Officers, and ITS technical teams to foster organizational adoption of AI tools.

Candidate Qualifications & Selection Criteria

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree: Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Finance, or related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in AI product management, financial technology, or enterprise digital transformation.
