Technical Scope & Debug Workflow
The intern will lead a comprehensive study focusing on electrical failure analysis, root cause identification, and mitigation strategies for AMD System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures:

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Failure Analysis: Conduct detailed diagnostic investigations of duplicated electrical failures across SoC components.

Diagnostic Tool Utilization: Apply advanced failure analysis tools, silicon debug methodologies, and instrumentation to isolate the conditions triggering system failures.

Root Cause Investigation: Execute systematic testing to pinpoint structural, electrical, or functional root causes.

Preventative Strategy Development: Design and propose mitigation frameworks, testing refinements, and prevention controls to minimize future return failures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior failure analysis engineers, product engineering, and quality teams to validate findings and document technical reports for stakeholders.
Candidate Qualifications & Skill Profile
Academic Credentials

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related semiconductor-focused engineering discipline.
