Apply for the Data Analyst L4 position at Wipro (Hyderabad). Drive business intelligence, network operations analytics, predictive modelling, and automated data pipelines within the Utilities sector.

About the Company: Wipro

Wipro Limited is a prominent global information technology, consulting, and business process services company recognised for its comprehensive digital transformation capabilities. Operating at scale across multiple industries, Wipro helps enterprise clients adapt to complex technological shifts, driving modern infrastructure development and cloud integration worldwide.

This Data Analyst L4 role is anchored within Wipro’s global delivery hub in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The position sits directly within the specialised Network Operations – Utilities business unit. This technical team builds, automates, and maintains the data analytics infrastructure that supports critical utility networks, enabling energy, water, and grid telecommunications providers to maximise operational runtime, forecast capacity demands, and streamline field asset distributions.

About the Role: Data Analyst L4

Are you an experienced data practitioner who excels at digging into complex network logs, building automated data validation layers, and translating massive operational telemetry into executive business intelligence? Wipro is seeking a hands-on, client-facing Data Analyst L4 to serve as a technical individual contributor within its Utilities practice. This role is structured for analytical professionals with 5 to 8 years of professional experience in data analytics, process automation, or industrial operations reporting.

As an L4 Data Analyst, you will manage the technical scope of enterprise data initiatives across all lifecycle stages. You will act as a primary consultative link, engaging with internal technical squads and external client stakeholders to map raw system parameters to physical network behaviours. Your responsibilities extend far beyond maintaining standard reports; you will establish automated pipelines, engineer data-cleansing policies, deploy predictive algorithms, and design high-impact visualisation dashboards that protect grid integrity and reduce operational costs.

Key Responsibilities & Data Analytics Workflows

  • Requirements Engineering & Stakeholder Management: Gather data engineering requirements from client teams, define technical project scopes, and deliver custom data proposals, insights, and comprehensive account reviews.

  • Data Aggregation & Telemetry Mining: Extract, join, and structure large-scale data sets from heterogeneous environments, including enterprise data warehouses, relational databases, and data modelling applications.

  • Pipeline Automation & Data Governance: Architect, deploy, and maintain automated data processes and record-management policies to eliminate manual scripting overhead and accelerate weekly reporting cadences.

  • Data Validation & Quality Cleansing: Evaluate, test, and implement external tools and specialized data-cleansing services to ensure high data accuracy, structural integrity, and consistency across industrial utility sets.

  • Advanced Visualisation & Benchmarking: Design and manage production-grade interactive dashboards, graphs, and performance scorecards to track operational KPIs and provide sector-specific competitor benchmarking.

  • Predictive Modelling & Statistical Inference: Mine large, complex datasets to isolate hidden operational patterns, engineer predictive data models, and deliver structured, actionable business recommendations directly to client leadership.

  • Operational Quality Assurance: Take full ownership of delivery metrics, ensuring zero customer escalations, maximum data accuracy, and high Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) scores across all analytical deliverables.

Candidate Prerequisites & Technical Skill Stack

Candidates must offer a robust background managing quantitative workflows, a disciplined approach to structured problem-solving, and a clear conceptual grasp of how asset networks operate within the utility space.

Required Experience & Educational Baseline:

  • Professional Tenure: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience operating within a business intelligence, data analytics, or data science environment.

  • Domain Expertise: Mandatory technical specialisation in Network Operations – Utilities. Candidates must possess deep familiarity with utility data structures, network management telemetry, or infrastructure KPIs.

  • Data Manipulation & Querying: Advanced proficiency utilising database querying frameworks (such as SQL) to navigate complex data warehouses, map relationships, and isolate operational trends.

  • Business Intelligence & Dashboarding: Proven track record building enterprise-grade, interactive dashboards and data visualizations in standard BI tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).

  • Process Automation Core: Demonstrated experience setting up automated data flows, scheduling data transformation scripts, and using external tools for automated validation and cleansing.

  • Statistical Analysis & Predictive Modelling: Strong practical competency in data mining, drawing valid statistical inferences from large datasets, and engineering predictive models to forecast operational outcomes.
