Apply for the Full Stack Developer role at Siemens in Chennai. Engineer cloud-native (AWS) energy optimisation platforms using Angular, C# .NET Core, Docker, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

About the Company: Siemens

Siemens is a global technology powerhouse that seamlessly blends the digital and physical worlds across building technologies, industrial automation, and smart infrastructure. By pioneering digital transformation with the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and cloud automation, Siemens empowers industries to do more with less while accelerating sustainable innovation globally.

This role is housed within the Smart Infrastructure & Energy Optimisation Division based in the major technology hub of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This software engineering group designs and scales intelligent, cloud-native applications that monitor, analyse, and optimise energy utilisation across massive commercial buildings, industrial zones, and university campuses worldwide, directly driving global decarbonization efforts.

About the Role: Full Stack Developer

Are you a software engineer who loves combining responsive front-end user interfaces with robust backend services in the cloud? Siemens is hiring a full-time, permanent Full Stack Developer (Angular + C#) to join its agile development group as an Individual Contributor in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This role is structured for developers with 3 to 8 years of software engineering experience, including a solid background in building cloud-native systems.

As a Full Stack Developer, you will help architect high-volume web solutions that process IoT sensor data to minimise enterprise carbon footprints. Your work will span the complete software development lifecycle—from coding sleek user interfaces in Angular to writing high-performance microservices in C# (.NET Core). You will manage containerised microservices using Docker, configure deployment workflows via GitLab CI/CD, and deploy architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Working within an international, cross-functional Scrum framework, you will play a key role in ensuring long-term code maintainability, engineering reliability, and secure coding compliance.

Key Responsibilities & Cloud Software Workflows

  • Full Stack Application Architecture: Design, build, and deploy cloud-based full-stack applications using Angular for intuitive front-end views and C# (.NET Core) for robust backend services.

  • Energy Optimisation Engineering: Develop backend systems to monitor, model, and optimise campus-wide and building-level energy profiles.

  • Cloud-Native Data Ingestion: Work with serverless architectures and distributed messaging queues on AWS to handle live streaming data inputs.

  • Microservice Containerization: Package, isolate, and manage system components inside Docker containers to ensure environment consistency across testing and production scales.

  • Continuous Integration Deployment: Build and maintain high-efficiency CI/CD automation pipelines within GitLab to enable seamless code releases.

  • Agile Scrum Participation: Collaborate closely with international, virtual teams during daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and architectural reviews to estimate and deliver software updates.

  • Design and Clean Code Maintenance: Document software designs, structure APIs logically, and run thorough testing schemes to guarantee system extensibility and security compliance.

Candidate Prerequisites & Key Technical Skills

Successful candidates must combine a strong grasp of object-oriented clean code principles with practical experience building distributed web services.

Required Experience & Educational Baseline:

  • Professional Tenure: 3+ years of overall software development experience, with a mandatory minimum of 2 years dedicated to AWS cloud-native development utilizing Angular and C# (.NET Core).

  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Master’s degree (MCA/M.Sc) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a highly related technical field.

  • Core Systems Stack: Solid proficiency in Angular, C# (.NET Core), and container environments using Docker.

  • DevOps Baseline: Hands-on experience navigating GitLab CI/CD setups and utilizing standard IDEs like Visual Studio Code.

  • Communication Flair: Professional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a proactive approach to taking ownership of tasks within global distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Bonus Factors:

  • Advanced AWS Portfolio: Practical experience building serverless backends using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, and CloudWatch.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience scripting automated cloud setups via Terraform.

  • Quality & Automation Testing: Strong foundation in Test-Driven Development (TDD), code refactoring, performance profiling, and code analysis tools like SonarQube.

  • Agile Exposure: Deep understanding of Scrum ceremonies, clean code methodologies, and code reviews within virtual teams across multiple time zones.

  • Certifications: Professional technical credentials in C#, cloud computing platforms, or agile architectures.
