About the Role: Data Analyst – Advanced Analytics & ML

EDGE Executive Search is accepting applications for a Data Analyst – Advanced Analytics position based in the thriving tech hub of Gurugram, India.

Operating under a permanent contract within the Data Science & Machine Learning division, you will bridge the gap between core business logic and advanced technical deployments. In this role, you will work extensively with Python, SQL, and Power BI to design analytical solutions, automate legacy workflows, and maintain strict data quality. You will collaborate directly with cloud data engineers, product squads, and technology leaders to frame business challenges and scale machine learning-powered solutions that drive measurable impact across digital aviation journeys.

Key Responsibilities & Analytics Workflows

• Design & Scale Predictive Solutions: Partner with technology leaders to develop, test, and scale AI/ML-powered models that directly enhance business decision accuracy.

• Execute Core Analytics: Use Python and SQL extensively to tackle complex analytical problems, clean large datasets, and execute rigorous scenario analyses.

• Build Automated Dashboards: Design and maintain interactive, automated dashboards and reporting structures using Power BI to track key operational indicators.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Team up with Product, Engineering, and Core Analytics squads to isolate and prioritise high-impact descriptive and predictive use cases.

• Support Cloud Integration: Collaborate with dedicated cloud engineering teams within modern architectures (AWS Redshift, Databricks) to ensure smooth model deployment and pipeline scalability.

• Deliver Ad-Hoc Decision Support: Frame complex data problems independently, translating raw analytical findings into concise, actionable insights for senior management.

Candidate Prerequisites & Technical Capabilities

This position requires a balanced analytical mindset, combining functional programming skills with an understanding of statistical evaluation frameworks.

Required Technical & Professional Expertise:

• Academic Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative discipline (such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or an equivalent field).

• Professional Track Record: 1 to 2 years of proven experience operating within a Data Analytics, Data Science, or Machine Learning environment.

• Programming & Frameworks: Strong skills in Python or R, showing practical familiarity with libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch using Jupyter notebook tools.

• Database Mastery: Advanced proficiency writing SQL queries to extract and process data from large, diverse datasets.

• Statistical Understanding: Solid grasp of foundational data analysis, core statistics, and primary machine learning methodologies (including regression, classification, clustering, and model evaluation metrics).

• Data Visualization: Hands-on experience building clean, automated reports and executive-level dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.

Preferred Skills & Advanced Methodologies (Bonus Points):

• Familiarity operating within cloud environments, specifically AWS infrastructure (S3, EC2, Redshift) or Databricks.

• Exposure to or strong interest in advanced fields like Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Market Mix Modelling (MMM).

• A postgraduate degree (such as an M.Sc., MCA, MBA, or M.Tech) in a numeric or specialized technology field.
