The Adani Group, a global leader in infrastructure and logistics, is seeking an Operations Research (OR) Scientist for our state-of-the-art AI Labs.

In this role, you will be the architect of efficiency, utilizing advanced mathematical modeling and AI to optimize India’s most critical supply chains, manufacturing processes, and green energy initiatives. From EV fleet charging optimisation to large-scale logistics network flows, you will turn complex business problems into elegant, automated mathematical solutions.

The Role: Architecting Prescriptive Intelligence

As a member of the AI Labs, you will develop models that don’t just predict the future, but actively determine the best path forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimisation Modelling: Develop and implement models for logistics and manufacturing using Linear Programming, Integer Programming, and Network Flow algorithms.

• Heuristic & Meta-Heuristic Development: Enhance model performance using Simulated Annealing, Genetic Algorithms, Tabu Search, and Ant Colony Optimisation.

• EV & Green Energy: Design data-driven EV charging optimisation models to ensure cost-effective and efficient fleet operations.

• Process Automation: Build discrete event simulation models and decision support systems to minimise operational disruptions.

• Scalable AI Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to deploy optimisation models on scalable cloud platforms, ensuring AI Governance and ethical implementation.

• Executive Communication: Translate complex mathematical findings into actionable insights for C-level decision-makers.

Your Technical Success Profile

We are looking for a scientist who blends academic rigour with a practical, results-oriented mindset.

• Required Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD or Master’s in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.

  • Experience: 2–5 years in developing OR models within engineering, logistics, or manufacturing domains.

• Technical Skills & Certifications:

  • Optimization Tools: Proficiency in CPLEX or Gurobi (Certification preferred).

  • Data Science: Strong foundation in AI/ML methodologies and statistical analysis.

  • Algorithms: Deep knowledge of Markov Decision Processes and decomposition algorithms for large-scale models.

• Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Risk, and Engineering teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills for high-pressure, complex business environments.
