Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Candidates must be:

  • A citizen of India, or

  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or

  • A Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before 1 January 1962, or

  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must have passed the written and practical parts of the final MBBS examination from a recognized university.

Important Notes

  • Candidates appearing in the final MBBS exam can also apply (provisional admission).

  • Appointment will be given only after completing the compulsory rotating internship.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of two stages:

1. Written Examination – 500 Marks

Paper I – 250 Marks

  • General Medicine

  • Paediatrics

Paper II – 250 Marks

  • Surgery

  • Gynaecology & Obstetrics

  • Preventive & Social Medicine

Both papers contain objective-type questions.

Negative Marking:
1/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

2. Personality Test / Interview – 100 Marks

Candidates qualifying the written exam will be called for the interview stage.
