About the Company: Nestlé India

Nestlé is the world’s largest food and beverage company, boasting a historic portfolio of iconic global brands including Nescafé, Maggi, KitKat, Munch, Milkmaid, and Nestlé Everyday. Operating across India through an extensive network of manufacturing facilities, co-packers, and state-of-the-art distribution centers, Nestlé India is dedicated to delivering high-quality, nutritious products to millions of consumers daily. The company’s operational philosophy is centered on manufacturing excellence, sustainable sourcing, and an agile value chain framework.

Nestlé’s supply chain infrastructure in India is a highly complex, technology-driven ecosystem that manages everything from agricultural procurement to front-line retail replenishment. By integrating advanced data analytics, predictive demand forecasting models, and automated warehousing systems, Nestlé ensures its high-demand consumer goods transition from production lines to retail shelves with minimal latency. The organisation offers an elite, high-performance professional environment where operational challenges are met with systematic, scalable business solutions.

About the Role: Supply Chain Intern

Nestlé India is accepting registrations for its specialised Supply Chain Track Internship. This premium corporate program is explicitly engineered for MBA and Master’s students in Supply Chain Management who possess a deep analytical drive and a passion for solving complex, large-scale operational bottlenecks.

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will pull back the curtain on one of the most resilient fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution networks in the world. Rather than working in an isolated functional silo, you will experience a rotation-capable framework spanning corporate planning offices and active distribution centers. Under the direct mentorship of veteran logistics executives, your day-to-day focus will center on building and optimising data models for inventory placement, demand planning, freight logistics, and customer service fulfilment. This track provides a direct, high-impact avenue to implement operational best practices and ensure Nestlé’s multi-billion-dollar brand portfolio consistently reaches retail shelves across India.

Key Responsibilities & Operational Sprints

  • Logistics Network Optimisation: Analyse current transport routes, freight capacities, and transit times to identify structural opportunities to minimise distribution costs and delivery delays.

  • Demand & Supply Planning: Assist in evaluating statistical inventory forecasting models, aligning production outputs with fast-moving consumer demands to minimise stockouts.

  • Distribution Center Strategy: Spend time onsite at core distribution centers to shadow, audit, and improve physical inventory workflows, sorting mechanisms, and dispatch efficiency.

  • Customer Service Metrics Tracking: Audit and refine customer service fulfilment operations, tracking order fill rates, lead times, and retail delivery performance matrices.

  • Data-Driven Problem Solving: Clean and interpret operational data arrays to extract actionable insights, presenting cross-functional solutions to senior supply chain leaders.

Candidate Prerequisites & Eligibility Criteria

Nestlé India looks for strategic thinkers who combine advanced business acumen with quantitative analytical skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Educational Profile & Timeline:

  • Academic Matrix: Currently pursuing an MBA in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or an equivalent Master’s degree in a highly quantitative business or engineering discipline.

  • Onboarding Alignment: Selected candidates will be onboarded for the internship track starting in April 2026.

Required Skill Stack & Core Competencies:

  • Analytical Reasoning: Strong foundation in quantitative data analysis, data manipulation, and translating logistics metrics into business insights.

  • Supply Chain Concepts: A deep theoretical understanding of demand planning, inventory holding costs, safety stock calculations, and the Bullwhip Effect.

  • Agile Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the professional capability to communicate effectively with both on-floor warehouse associates and executive leadership.

  • Resilience & Adaptability: Ready to transition between corporate office environments and active, fast-paced distribution hubs.

Selection Process & Application Pipeline

Admission into Nestlé’s Supply Chain Track follows a rigorous, structured assessment path administered through the Talent Games portal:

  1. Registration: Candidates must create a profile and submit their academic credentials via the official Talent Games portal.
