Job Overview
Luxoft is hiring a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst – Regulatory Reporting to support a multi-year financial markets regulatory transformation program for a leading Australian financial institution. This role is based in Gurugram and requires strong expertise in MiFID II and G20 regulatory reporting, along with deep knowledge of financial markets and derivative products.
The selected candidate will act as a regulatory subject matter expert, working closely with compliance, risk, operations, and technology teams to deliver scalable and compliant regulatory reporting solutions. Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyse, and document business and regulatory requirements from internal stakeholders and regulatory guidelines.

Interpret regulations such as MiFID II, G20, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and ASIC and convert them into actionable functional requirements.

Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.

Support the design, development, and implementation of financial markets regulatory reporting solutions.

Conduct regulatory impact assessments and identify system, data, and reporting changes.

Collaborate with compliance, risk, operations, and technology teams to ensure accurate and timely regulatory submissions.

Perform SQL-based data analysis to validate trade data and regulatory reporting outputs.

Participate in testing activities, including test case preparation, execution, and defect resolution.

Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle

Provide regular project updates and status reports to senior stakeholders.

Mentor and support a small, growing multi-location team
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial markets, regulatory reporting, or regulatory technology
-
Mandatory hands-on experience with MiFID II or G20 regulations (strong preference for both)

Minimum 2+ years of direct experience working on MiFID regulatory reporting

Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle

Experience with financial instruments such as:

Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)

Bonds
-
FX Cash
-
FX Options
-

Proven experience working with cross-functional, functional, and technical teams

Strong working knowledge of SQL for data validation, reconciliation, and analysis

Excellent documentation skills, including user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and functional specifications

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills

Exposure to additional regulatory frameworks such as EMIR, Dodd-Frank, SFTR, MAS, or ASIC

Experience working in Agile environments

Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Confluence

Experience in large-scale regulatory transformation programs or reporting platform migrations

Understanding of regulatory data models, reporting architectures, or BI tools
Job Requirements

This is a 100% on-site role in Gurugram.
