Career Opportunity: Cash Application Specialist (Remote – US Shift)

Are you an Accounts Receivable expert with a hawk-eye for detail? We are seeking a highly analytical Cash Application Specialist to join our Finance department. Reporting to the Cash Application Supervisor, you will be the engine behind our daily financial reconciliations, ensuring every payment—from EFTs to complex wires—is accounted for with surgical precision.

This is a full-time, remote position operating on a US schedule (5:30 PM – 2:30 AM), perfect for professionals who thrive in a high-volume, global accounting environment.

 About the Role: High-Volume Precision & Compliance

In this role, you aren’t just data-entering; you are investigating. You will own the lifecycle of customer payments, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX controls while solving complex payment discrepancies that keep our sub-ledger healthy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex Payment Application: Accurately record and apply high-volume daily payments (ACH, Wires, Checks) to invoices through sub-ledger accounting.

  • ERP Management: Post journal entries into SAP/Oracle on a timely basis to meet strict daily and monthly financial goals.

  • Discrepancy Resolution: Thoroughly investigate unknown, unapplied, or short payments by collaborating with Billing and Collections teams.

  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliations between bank activity and AR postings to ensure 100% data integrity.

  • Process Integrity: Maintain strict adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and confidentiality standards.

  • Strategic Support: Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting and assist in project-based ERP initiatives (e.g., Deltek Vision).

 Qualifications & Technical Mastery

We are looking for a finance professional who combines deep technical knowledge with a problem-solving aptitude.

  • Experience: 5+ years in Accounting with a heavy focus on Accounts Receivable and Cash Application.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is required.

  • Technical Stack: High proficiency in SAP or Oracle. Experience with Deltek Vision or other project-based ERPs is a major plus.

  • Excel Skills: Advanced MS Excel proficiency for data analysis and reporting.

  • Communication: Excellent English (written and verbal) for seamless interaction with global customers and internal teams.

  • Mindset: A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently during US business hours.
