We are seeking a Data Engineering Tech Lead with a deep mastery of Azure Databricks to join our team in India. This is a 100% Remote leadership role for a technical expert who is ready to lead a team, advocate for Generative AI in development, and act as a trusted advisor for global customers.

 The Role: Architecting Intelligent Data Solutions

As a Tech Lead, your primary responsibility is the efficient and effective delivery of complex data projects. You will be the bridge between technical execution and business strategy, ensuring our data solutions are scalable, cost-efficient, and future-proof.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Oversee the design and architecture of data solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability.

• Team Mentorship: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and managing resources for successful delivery.

• GenAI Innovation: Actively utilize and promote Generative AI tools to accelerate coding, troubleshooting, and project timelines.

• Quality Governance: Align coding standards, conduct deep code reviews, and introduce robust QA processes for data pipelines.

• Customer Advocacy: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope and requirements.

• Optimisation: Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve CI/CD, data processing performance, and cost savings.

 Your Profile: The Modern Data Leader

We are looking for a lead who balances deep technical “know-how” with the ability to manage timelines and people effectively.

• Experience: 8–10 years in data engineering or a related field.

• Core Technical Stack:

  • Platforms: Deep practical experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

  • Languages: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and optionally R or Scala.

  • Frameworks: Mastery of ETL frameworks, data pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.

• AI Mindset: Hands-on experience or a strong willingness to integrate GenAI tools into your daily programming and team workflows.

• Leadership: Proven track record of managing a team, prioritizing tasks, and delivering high-quality results under designated deadlines.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Information Systems, or a related field.
