WMS Integration Consultant (SAP & Third-Party) | VeloData Global

VeloData Global Pvt Ltd is hiring a specialized WMS Integration Consultant for a critical 6-month engagement based out of Chennai. This role is a hybrid of technical middleware expertise and functional logistics knowledge. You will be the “bridge builder” ensuring that SAP speaks fluently to external, third-party warehouse platforms.

This position is ideal for a consultant who enjoys the “hands-on” technical challenge of troubleshooting real-time data flows while managing complex supply chain stakeholder relationships.

🟢 Role Overview & Impact

In modern supply chains, the gap between an ERP (SAP) and the physical warehouse floor (Third-party WMS) is where most bottlenecks happen. Your mission is to eliminate those gaps.

  • Interface Architecture: Design and configure the “connectors” using IDocs, APIs, EDI, and RFCs to ensure SAP stays in sync with external warehouse hardware and software.

  • End-to-End Processes: Own the integration for both Inbound (receiving/putaway) and Outbound(picking/shipping) cycles.

  • Cross-Module Synergy: Ensure seamless data exchange across SAP SD, MM, PP, and EWM/WM.

  • Troubleshooting & Hypercare: Act as the “emergency responder” for interface failures, resolving data synchronisation issues in real-time to prevent warehouse downtime.

  • System Optimisation: Monitor performance and suggest middleware or cloud-based improvements to speed up data transmission.

  • Functional Depth: You must understand the why behind the data—knowledge of warehouse business processes (picking, packing, GR/GI) is mandatory.

  • Communication: Strong stakeholder management skills; you will be the point of contact between IT, the warehouse floor, and business leadership.

  • Exposure (Preferred): Experience with S/4HANA and warehouse automation/scanning systems.
