Key Responsibilities & Systemic Impact

  • Framework Operationalization: Execute and scale data and AI governance policies, standards, and metadata lifecycles across the Equity Data value stream to guarantee the integrity of institutional financial benchmarks.

  • Data Quality Engineering: Design, implement, and track automated data quality monitoring thresholds; conduct deep root-cause analysis on structural anomalies and coordinate corrective actions with data owners.

  • Responsible AI Guardrails: Support rigorous AI risk assessments by proactively identifying systemic data biases, managing the enterprise AI model inventory, and partnering with AI Solutions Experts to ensure ethical modelling.

  • Project Intake & Risk Mitigation: Evaluate new product features and ingestion pipelines during regular project intake reviews, advising engineering squads on governance constraints and regulatory compliance risks.

  • Internal Advisory & Training: Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) on data lineage and stewardship, designing accessible training documentation to cultivate an institutional culture of data governance.

  • Continuous Innovation: Identify process engineering gaps, introduce automation scripts to simplify compliance checklists, and adapt existing frameworks to align with evolving international AI regulations.

Candidate Prerequisites & Technical Matrix

We are looking for an analytical professional who couples a robust command of relational database structures with exceptional documentation and stakeholder alignment skills.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Experience Profile: Minimum 5+ years of corporate experience in Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Regulatory Compliance, or related financial services tracks.

  • Framework Domain Expertise: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience directly administering industry-standard data management frameworks, such as DAMA-DMBOK or DCAM (Data Capability Assessment Model).

  • AI/ML Literacy: Strong conceptual grasp of artificial intelligence and machine learning pipelines, with clear foundational knowledge of responsible AI principles and bias identification.

  • Technical Toolkit: Proven capability to write intermediate SQL queries independently to perform granular data analysis, cross-table validation, and metric extraction.

  • Communication & Documentation: Elite written and oral English communication skills; demonstrated capacity to synthesize highly technical architectural patterns into accessible business policies and SOPs.

  • Interview Mandate: Readiness to participate in an in-person interview cycle at our Mumbai operations center during the final evaluation stage.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Holding verified industry certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DGSP (Data Governance Signaling Professional), or privacy credentials like CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional).

  • High emotional intelligence with a proven capacity to handle ambiguous, non-routine operational friction points through collaborative, cross-functional prioritisation.
