Job Overview

Gushwork is hiring a Data Analyst to join its Bangalore office. This role focuses on building reliable analytics systems, cleaning and consolidating data from multiple sources, and delivering insights that support business decisions across product, growth, finance, and operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for data professionals who enjoy working with complex datasets, automating processes, and building analytics foundations in a high-growth startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and manage data from multiple internal and external sources

  • Build scalable analytics workflows and define standard operating procedures.

  • Write advanced SQL queries to analyse and validate data.

  • Create dashboards and reports for leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Automate recurring reports and reduce manual data work

  • Enable self-serve analytics through clear documentation and tools.

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems.

  • Collaborate with product, growth, finance, and operations teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence

  • Strong understanding of relational databases

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions)

  • Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets

  • Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis

  • Ability to use AI tools and chatbots to speed up analysis workflows

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ETL pipelines or data engineering basics

  • Exposure to large datasets or data migration projects

  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar

  • Prior experience in a startup or SaaS environment
