About the Role
MediNex Workforce is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Healthcare Data Analyst Intern. This remote, entry-level position is designed for freshers looking to build a career in healthcare analytics, health tech, or clinical operations data management.
In this role, you will work directly with clinical and operational datasets—utilizing SQL, Excel, and Power BI to build dashboards, clean transactional data, and provide decision support for healthcare management teams.
Key Responsibilities

Healthcare Data Management: Assist in collecting, cleaning, and validating operational, clinical, and workforce datasets to ensure high data integrity.

SQL Querying & Analysis: Write and execute basic-to-intermediate SQL queries to join, filter, and extract insights from relational databases.

Dashboard & Visualizations: Build and maintain interactive reporting dashboards in Power BI to track key healthcare KPIs (such as patient wait times, bed utilization, and staffing ratios).

Excel Financial & Operational Modeling: Perform data manipulation using Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables,
XLOOKUP, conditional logic, and statistical summaries). -
Reporting & Insight Delivery: Summarize quantitative findings into clear, executive-ready presentations and routine operational reports.

Process Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering data dictionaries, query logic, and ETL transformation steps.
Ideal Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

Entry Level / Fresher Friendly: 0–1 year of experience; hands-on academic projects or personal portfolios are highly valued.

Core Technical Skills:

SQL: Fundamental understanding of
SELECT,WHERE,JOIN,GROUP BY,HAVING, and subqueries. -
Microsoft Excel: Fluency in functions (
VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP,INDEX-MATCH,SUMIFS), dynamic charts, and Pivot Tables. -
Power BI: Familiarity with connecting data sources, creating DAX measures, and designing basic interactive visual reports.
