🚀 Job Overview

Paytm is hiring a Data Analyst to support its Recharges & Utilities business, one of its core growth drivers.

In this role, you will work on data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and business insights, helping improve user engagement, retention, and revenue through data-driven decisions.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

📊 Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Fetch data from Hive and prepare daily reports
  • Analyze user behavior, transactions, GMV, retention
  • Generate actionable insights for business growth

🧮 SQL & Data Handling

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting
  • Work with BigQuery, Hive, and internal databases
  • Perform regular data analysis and validation

📈 Dashboard & Automation

  • Build dashboards using Advanced Excel and BI tools
  • Automate reports and streamline MIS processes
  • Improve reporting efficiency through tools and automation

🤝 Business Collaboration

  • Work with cross-functional teams like marketing, product, and growth
  • Translate business problems into data-driven solutions
  • Present insights to stakeholders and senior management

🧠 Required Skills

💻 Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in Advanced Excel & Dashboard Creation
  • Good knowledge of SQL (mandatory)
  • Experience with Hive / BigQuery (preferred)
  • Understanding of data modelling techniques

📊 Analytical Skills

  • Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, or analytics
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and generate insights

🤝 Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, growth-focused environments

🎓 Qualifications

  • Background in Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering / Economics
  • 3–8 years of experience in Data Analytics / Business Analytics
  • Experience in Fintech / E-commerce / Consulting (preferred)
