Opportunity Overview

Role Scope & Security Architecture

The Cyber Security Intern supports the defence, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance posture across application, backend, and cloud environments:

Core Responsibilities

• Vulnerability Assessment & Mitigation: Assist in identifying, scanning, and patching application and infrastructure security flaws against OWASP Top 10 risks.

• Access Control & Encryption: Support implementation of secure authentication mechanisms, API security policies, zero-trust access controls, and data-at-rest/in-transit encryption.

• SIEM & Threat Monitoring: Monitor security telemetry, system logs, and intrusion alerts using basic SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.

• Fintech Compliance & Audits: Contribute to internal security documentation, audit preparation, and regulatory compliance workflows tailored for fintech operations (RBI cybersecurity guidelines, ISO/IEC 27001).

• Security Tooling Research: Evaluate open-source security utilities for endpoint protection, secure API gateway integrations, static/dynamic code analysis, and threat modeling.

Candidate Qualifications & Technical Matrix

Minimum Requirements

• Academic Enrolment: Current student or recent graduate in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related technical disciplines.

• Core Security Concepts: Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, network security fundamentals, cryptography concepts, and secure coding practices.

• Security Tooling: Practical familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Nmap, Wireshark, Nikto, or similar security scanners.

• Domain Interest: Strong interest in fintech infrastructure, data privacy principles, and regulatory compliance frameworks.

1. Application & Portfolio Screening: Review of cybersecurity coursework, bug bounty experience, CTF participation, GitHub repositories, and location feasibility for Baner, Pune.

2. Technical Assessment: Hands-on assessment evaluating vulnerability detection logic, packet analysis using Wireshark, basic script creation, or OWASP scenario analysis.

3. Technical Security Interview: Deep dive into network protocols, web application attack vectors (XSS, SQLi, CSRF), authentication mechanisms, and API security.

4. Final Startup Alignment Round: Evaluation of analytical problem-solving speed, ethical mindset, and adaptability to a fast-paced fintech engineering environment.
