A leading global banking organisation, Societe Generale Global Solution Centre, is hiring an experienced Business Analyst in Bengaluru. SG GSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Société Générale, supporting global banking operations through technology, risk management, and business transformation initiatives.

Role Summary

The Business Analyst will act as the functional interface between business stakeholders and development teams. The role involves gathering and analysing requirements, preparing detailed documentation, leading functional validation, and ensuring high-quality delivery within an Agile framework.


Key Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis & Documentation

  • Understand user expectations and translate them into detailed functional requirements.

  • Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).

  • Conduct impact analysis and manage requirement traceability.

  • Raise clarifications with stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for business requirements.

  • Represent end-user interests within the development team.

  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams in a multicultural environment.

Knowledge Transfer & Functional Support

  • Provide knowledge transfer sessions to development teams.

  • Train team members on liquidity risk and functional workflows.

  • Resolve functional queries and support peers’ onboarding.

Testing & Validation

  • Lead functional validation and testing cycles.

  • Conduct functionality reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Certify product releases before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.

Agile Participation

  • Actively participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.

  • Align deliverables with iteration goals.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement within Agile teams.


Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Banking or Financial Services.

Domain Expertise (Mandatory)

  • Strong understanding of Liquidity Risk management.

  • Knowledge of Basel III Liquidity Ratios (LCR and NSFR).

  • Familiarity with banking products, including:

    • Equities

    • Fixed Income

    • Derivatives

Technical Skills

  • Experience with conceptual and physical data models.

  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.

  • Proficiency in:

    • Impact Analysis

    • Business Requirement Documentation

    • Functional Specifications

    • Functional Testing & Validation

Agile Knowledge

  • Hands-on experience working in Agile environments.

  • Understanding of user stories, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
