Job Overview

The Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing business needs, defining system requirements, and ensuring that technology solutions align with organisational goals. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, supporting the full project lifecycle—from requirements gathering through testing and implementation.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, process modelling, and testing coordination within enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Business Engagement

  • Work closely with executive leadership, business owners, technical teams, and end users to understand business objectives and system needs

  • Collaborate with project managers and sponsors to define project scope, goals, and success criteria.

  • Identify stakeholders and clarify roles and responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements Analysis & Documentation

  • Gather requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, workflow analysis, use cases, and scenarios.

  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.

  • Develop and maintain standardized requirement documentation templates.

  • Validate requirements for accuracy, completeness, feasibility, and consistency.

Process Modelling & Solution Support

  • Create process flows, diagrams, specifications, and charts to guide development teams.

  • Support solution design through analysis findings and interface prototypes

  • Define the scope, impact, and success metrics of system requirements

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Create and execute test scripts for system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

  • Support QA activities to ensure delivered solutions meet defined business and technical requirements.

  • Coordinate with development teams to resolve defects and requirement gaps

Change Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Communicate requirement changes and enhancements to stakeholders.

  • Review existing requirements-gathering processes and recommend improvements.

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior analysts when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst

  • Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, modelling, and validation

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in test script creation and execution

  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices

  • Experience working with web-based and desktop applications

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with SDLC and formal project management methodologies

  • close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with MS CRM, SharePoint, MS GP, and SQL Server (2005 or higher)

  • Background in software design, development, testing, and implementation

  • Experience creating functional specifications, process diagrams, training materials, and use cases

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment

  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
