Role Overview – Business Analyst

The Business Analyst Support role within the NCT (Finex) team focuses on handling change requests, coordinating with operations and technology teams, conducting quality checks, and supporting walkthroughs for different modules related to mutual fund services.

Professionals in this role will work closely with internal teams to ensure system improvements, process accuracy, and effective communication between business and technical stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities – Business Analyst

1. Change Request (CR) Management

  • Review and analyze all Change Requests (CRs) related to NCT modules under Finex.

  • Understand business requirements and document functional changes.

  • Ensure change requests follow internal change management guidelines.

  • Track the lifecycle of CRs and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely implementation.

2. Sample-Based Quality Checks

  • Perform sample-based quality control checks on system outputs and transactions.

  • Validate compliance with business rules and operational processes.

  • Identify discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Document findings and coordinate with teams for corrective actions.

3. Operations Collaboration & Module Walkthroughs

  • Work closely with the Operations Unit to conduct module-level walkthroughs.

  • Prepare documentation such as walkthrough notes, process documents, and training materials.

  • Support knowledge-sharing initiatives within operations teams.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as a bridge between Operations and Technology teams.

  • Clarify requirements and evaluate technical feasibility.

  • Facilitate discussions and ensure alignment across teams.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to validate system functionalities.


Qualifications & Skills – Business Analyst

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience in:

    • Business Analysis

    • Mutual Fund Operations

    • System enhancement roles

  • Experience in Mutual Fund Services or RTA (Registrar and Transfer Agent) domain is preferred.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of mutual fund operations and workflow processes.

  • Experience in requirement gathering and documentation.

  • Knowledge of Change Request lifecycle management.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with ticketing or workflow tools is an added advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
