Job Description

As a Business and Data Analyst at Sage, you will help establish a single source of truth for organizational data by integrating financial and operational information across multiple systems.

You will combine business process knowledge with technical analytics skills to develop data models, automated reports, KPI dashboards, and management reporting solutions. You will also work closely with Finance, IT, business stakeholders, and external implementation partners to enhance Microsoft Dynamics reporting capabilities and improve data quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Analytics and Reporting

  • Build automated reporting systems that consolidate information from ERP platforms, Excel files, sales systems, and operational databases.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, dashboard requirements, reporting logic, and data mapping documents.
  • Develop data models using Power Query, DAX, SQL, and other suitable tools.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and management reports.
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and actionable analytics to support leadership decisions.

2. ERP and Systems Enablement

  • Act as a link between Finance, business users, IT teams, and external partners for ERP reporting initiatives.
  • Improve data availability, reporting structures, and the effective use of Microsoft Dynamics systems.
  • Develop and enhance reports, queries, and data extracts within Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Understand Dynamics data structures and use ERP data effectively for analytics.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI.
  • Support system enhancements, testing, process improvements, and reporting automation.

3. Data Governance and Process Improvement

  • Establish reporting standards, data integration processes, and validation controls.
  • Improve data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across business processes.
  • Identify data discrepancies and work with process owners to address their root causes.
  • Define common data definitions, KPI calculations, report ownership, refresh schedules, and validation rules.
  • Maintain data lineage for important management reports.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve operational efficiency.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • 5–7 years of experience in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, ERP Reporting, Business Intelligence, Finance Systems, or Finance Transformation.
