Role Overview

NeenOpal is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern from the Batch 2027 graduating class for a full-time remote internship in India.
Working alongside Senior Associate Consultants and delivery leads, you will help build data-driven solutions for international client accounts. You will write SQL queries, perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) using Python and Pandas, and construct interactive dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to translate complex datasets into business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction, Manipulation & Analytics

  • SQL Querying: Write and optimize SQL queries (joins, aggregations, subqueries) to extract and manipulate multi-table relational data.
  • Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Clean, inspect, and analyze raw datasets using Python (pandas, numpy) to identify underlying trends, operational bottlenecks, and business patterns.

Business Intelligence & Dashboard Development

  • Dashboard Authoring: Build and maintain interactive Business Intelligence dashboards using Power BIor Tableau.
  • KPI Frameworks: Structure executive metrics, data visual models, and self-service analytics frameworks to support client decision-making.

Consulting & Client Delivery

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with internal consultants and external client stakeholders to understand business objectives and map technical requirements.
  • Insights Presentation: Communicate analytical findings, technical documentation, and strategic recommendations clearly to project managers and client teams.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Graduation Batch: Current Final-Year B.Tech students belonging strictly to the Batch of 2027.
  • Availability: Available for a full-time remote internship schedule (7 to 8 hours daily).

Mandatory Technical Competencies

  • SQL: Solid foundation in database querying, joins, grouping, filtering, and data transformation.
  • Python: Practical experience with Python data manipulation libraries, specifically Pandas, for data cleaning and EDA.
  • Data Visualization: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Power BI or Tableau dashboard design.
  • Analytical Reasoning: High attention to detail, logical problem-solving, and structured analytical thinking.

Preferred (Good-to-Have) Skills

  • Cloud Platforms: Introductory exposure to cloud data systems such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Snowflake.
  • Data Pipelines: Basic understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts and data pipeline automation using Python and SQL.
  • Prior Experience: Academic projects, open-source work, or previous internship experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
