About the Role
Smart IT Frame LLC is seeking a visionary Senior AWS Fullstack Data Engineer with up to 15 years of deep data architecture experience. In this leadership-driven technical role, you will lead the architecture, construction, and performance optimisation of a next-generation enterprise data platform.
The ideal candidate brings strong domain experience in the Insurance sector, proven capability in petabyte-scale streaming and batch pipelines, and end-to-end technical mastery across AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Apache Iceberg, and DataOps frameworks.
Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline & Orchestration Architecture: Design and optimize high-volume ELT/ETL pipelines using dbt Core and AWS Glue. Build modular data workflows using modern orchestrators like Dagster.

Real-Time Streaming & Integration: Implement real-time data flows utilising Confluent Kafka and native AWS streaming services (Amazon Kinesis) for immediate data availability.

Open Table Formats & Compute Optimisation: Deploy and manage Apache Iceberg table formats for schema evolution. Fine-tune query performance and cloud cost allocation across Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Athena.

Containerization & IaC: Provision immutable cloud foundations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deploy containerised workloads using AWS ECS / EKS.

Observability & Security: Integrate end-to-end telemetry and monitoring using Splunk. Implement data anonymisation, governance, and strict regulatory compliance controls.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements

Total Experience: 15+ years of progressive hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Full-stack Data roles.

Insurance Domain Expertise (Mandatory): 5+ years of experience working with insurance datasets, claims pipelines, underwriting models, or policy frameworks.

AWS Expertise: 11+ years of experience with core Amazon Web Services (S3, Glue, IAM, VPC, ECS, EKS, Athena, Redshift).

Programming & Querying: 15+ years of SQL fluency alongside 10+ years of Python and PySpark engineering experience.

Modern Data Stack: Hands-on mastery of dbt Core, Apache Iceberg, Snowflake, Talend, Git, and Splunk.
