Role Scope & Operational Framework

The Search AI UX Program Manager drives operational accuracy and design cohesion across the “Ask and Answers” portfolio, managing pre- and post-launch milestones for generative Search experiences:

Core Responsibilities

  • Product & Design Excellence: Partner with Design Excellence teams to lead critical product initiatives, execute visual QA (VisQA) pipelines, and run design sprints.

  • Design System Evolution: Support the evolution of Google Search design systems through component audits, pattern codification, and Figma library updates.

  • AIX Velocity & Review Process: Manage cross-functional AI eXperience (AIX) review workflows to streamline stakeholder feedback and accelerate launch velocity.

  • Workflow AI Automation: Integrate internal LLM/AI tools into project management workflows to automate tracking, status reporting, and bug triage.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Communications, Business, or equivalent practical experience.

  • UX Program Management: 4+ years of program management experience embedded within UX, research, or creative design organizations.

  • User-Centered Research: Practical experience with User Research methodologies, research-focused tools, and user-centered design processes.

Compensation & Benefits Structure (USA)

  • Base Salary Range: $132,000 – $189,000 USD per year.
