About the Role: Machine Learning Intern (College Students Track)

Dexter’s Tech is seeking a logically driven, mathematically minded Machine Learning Intern to join its virtual AI and predictive analytics division. This position is structured as a 3-month, fully remote internship designed exclusively for currently enrolled college students who want to build and deploy actual machine learning models.

This role moves far beyond basic local scripts. As an intern, you will step into an agile environment, taking ownership of raw datasets to execute end-to-end ML workflows. Your daily tasks will center on data preprocessing, feature engineering, training algorithmic pipelines, and evaluating model accuracy. Backed by regular project evaluations and dedicated mentors, you will learn to transition deep-learning and statistical theory into functional code, proving your ability to handle modern corporate AI pipelines.

Key Responsibilities & Machine Learning Workflows

  • Data Preprocessing & Pipeline Building: Collect, clean, and format structured and unstructured datasets, handling missing values, scaling features, and prepping data for model consumption.

  • Feature Engineering: Extract, select, and transform core variables to optimise algorithmic efficiency and improve predictive accuracy.
