About the Role: Senior AI Transformation Lead

Are you a visionary technology leader who sits at the intersection of enterprise software engineering, Generative AI, and organisational developer experience (DevEx)? Siemens Healthineers is seeking a strategic yet hands-on Senior AI Transformation Lead with 8 to 12 years of professional experience. This full-time, permanent position is based on-site at the Pune office under an Office/Site-only operational framework.

In this high-impact R&D leadership role, you will define and execute the AI transformation roadmap across the entire software engineering organisation. Your mission is to fundamentally reshape how global teams design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain our global oncology SaaS platform built on AWS.

Operating within a regulated medical device framework, you will embed AI-assisted tools into production lifecycles spanning Java, Kotlin, Python, Spring Boot, and Angular. From deploying LLM-backed testing engines to structuring Advanced AI Agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and production-grade engineering workflows—radically elevating developer velocity, system quality, and operational intelligence.

Key Responsibilities & AI Transformation Initiatives

  • AI Transformation Roadmap: Author and execute the comprehensive AI integration strategy for the software engineering branch, defining clear productivity KPIs, adoption benchmarks, and business impact success metrics.

  • AI-Assisted Development Workflows: Champion the rollout of AI-assisted tools for software development, empowering engineers to utilize AI for automated code generation, complex refactoring, structural debugging, architecture design, and intelligent code reviews.

  • Multi-Language Stack Integration: Infuse Generative AI solutions deeply into multi-tier developer pipelines encompassing Java, Kotlin, Python, Spring Boot, Angular, and native mobile application frameworks.

  • Cognitive Quality Engineering: Pioneer AI-powered testing protocols, driving AI-assisted test generation, predictive defect analysis, automated regression mappings, and algorithmic release risk assessments.

  • DevOps & AIOps Orchestration: Inject AI workflows into CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation setups, multi-region cloud monitoring, and active incident response frameworks—leveraging AI for rapid root-cause analysis.

  • Platform & Tooling Evaluation: Assess, select, and deploy enterprise-grade AI frameworks, vector databases, and foundational models, collaborating with System Architects to define repeatable, secure AI integration design patterns.

  • Internal Productivity Bots: Lead the design and development of localised AI assistants, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) knowledge systems, and custom engineering productivity agents.

Candidate Prerequisites & Technical Skill Stack

Candidates must possess an authoritative command over modern cloud systems engineering, combined with cutting-edge experience scaling Large Language Model (LLM) applications inside large developer environments.

Required Experience & Educational Baseline:

  • Academic Credentials: BE, B.Tech, MSc, MCA, or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a closely related quantitative field.

  • Professional Tenure: 8 to 12 years of core software engineering experience, with at least 3 years spent directly steering engineering productivity, developer experience (DevEx), AI implementation, or large-scale technology transformation initiatives.

  • The AI/LLM Stack: Hands-on experience architecting systems with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic Claude, Vector Databases, RAG architectures, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and advanced prompt engineering.

  • Enterprise Software Mastery: Solid engineering roots in Java, Kotlin, Python, Spring Boot, Angular, and modern microservices architecture.

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Proven expertise working within AWS (Amazon Web Services) ecosystems and implementing progressive cloud-native DevOps methodologies.
