Are you an analytical professional who loves parsing operational numbers and turning complex logistics logs into highly scannable management strategies? Amazon Now is seeking an Assistant Business Analyst to join the Last Mile team as an individual contributor. This position is tailored for data practitioners with 1 or more years of experience in data analytics, automation, operations planning, or capacity tracking.

As an Assistant Business Analyst, you will build and maintain the analytical reporting backbone that directly steers millions of dollars in last mile cost decisions. Your ownership spans data aggregation, metric tracking, and anomaly spotting across high-frequency logistics variables, including cost per delivery (CPD), store-level rate cards, payout models, and delivery partner productivity indices. Operating at the intersection of data engineering and fast-paced commerce, you will manipulate nested API payloads and manage automated pipelines to keep Amazon’s quick-commerce engine running at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Data Analytics Workflows

• Last Mile Cost Reporting: Own end-to-end leadership reporting for cost per delivery (CPD) across 1P and 3P channels, tracking financial actuals against targets and explaining variance metrics to operations and finance partners.

• Rate Card & Payout Compliance: Maintain network-wide, store-level payout structures and rate cards. Build auditable validation models to identify computational discrepancies between contracted rates and actual distributions.

• Performance Dashboarding: Design, populate, and optimise automated operational dashboards that track delivery partner metrics including total orders delivered, distance travelled, service hours, and productivity indices.

• Data Aggregation & Ingestion Pipelines: Query, join, and aggregate structured and unstructured tables from internal databases and external 3P partner feeds using SQL, Amazon S3 instances, and Excel macros.

• JSON Parsing & Transformation: Leverage JSON tools to parse, structure, and transform complex, nested data payloads originating from 3P vendor APIs, flattening the data for downstream relational reporting workflows.

• Insight Generation: Analyse high-velocity logistical trends to provide predictive recommendations to pricing and capacity planning teams regarding delivery partner supply curves and cost interventions.

Required Experience & Educational Baseline:

• Educational Credentials: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Professional Tenure: 1+ years of experience working directly in data analytics, business analysis, or process automation environments, OR 1+ years of experience working in operational capacity planning, supply chain logistics, or business analysis.

• Database Querying: Foundational to advanced knowledge of data extraction and data mining using SQL.

• Spreadsheet Mastery: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the design and troubleshooting of automated spreadsheet Macros, pivot tables, and complex aggregate formulas.

• Analytical Tooling Exposure: Demonstrated familiarity with standard data mining and statistical tools (such as SQL, SAS, or SPSS).
