Trans Planning Data Analyst at Amazon (Q-Express)
Apply for the Trans Planning Data Analyst position at Amazon (Q-Express) in Dubai. Drive supply chain routing excellence, handle big data, and manage intra-day capacity shifts.
About the Company: Amazon (Q-Express)
Amazon operates under four core guiding principles: absolute customer obsession, a relentless passion for invention, unwavering commitment to operational excellence, and long-term strategic thinking. In the Middle East region, Amazon’s robust logistical and delivery footprint is powered by specialised entities like Q-Express Documents Transport, a core subsidiary that anchors Amazon’s supply chain, mid-mile transportation execution, and last-mile delivery networks.
The Supply Chain Transportation Planning team sits at the heart of this network. This team ensures that millions of customer packages move seamlessly across transit hubs, sorting centers, and delivery fleets. Operating in a highly dynamic environment, this division leverages big data analytics and automated infrastructure to maintain Amazon’s strict delivery promises across the region.
About the Role: Trans Planning Data Analyst
Are you a process-oriented supply chain professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments? Amazon is hiring a full-time Trans Planning Data Analyst to join its Supply Chain Transportation Planning team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This operational and analytical role is tailored for individuals with strong big data handling capabilities and an unyielding attention to component accuracy.
This is a critical fulfilment role centered on real-time execution. Because logistics networks operate around the clock, candidates must be fully flexible regarding scheduling, as this position explicitly includes Night Shifts and Weekend rotations. You will manage intra-day transportation networks, balance capacity constraints against variable order volumes, and deploy technical routing adjustments within strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities & Real-Time Logistics Workflows
-
Intra-Day Capacity Management: Constantly monitor live operational dashboards and handle multiple high-priority routing and scheduling change requests from cross-functional partner teams.
-
High-Accuracy SLA Execution: Deploy network and routing changes rapidly within set SLAs, maintaining an incredibly high bar for attention to detail to avoid downstream logistical failures.
-
Big Data Analytics: Collect, compile, and clean large-scale transportation and supply chain datasets to uncover network inefficiencies.
-
Process Automation & Scaling: Identify structural bottlenecks in day-to-day planning workflows and implement technical tools or automated macros to scale up processes rapidly.
-
Loss Prevention Management: Audit end-to-end supply chain segments and adopt global Amazon best practices to minimize transit delays and physical product/capacity losses.
-
Cross-Functional Alignment: Translate complex logistical data into clear, actionable narratives to influence business managers, field operations teams, and technical software audiences.
Candidate Prerequisites & Core Technical Skills
This role demands a blend of analytical curiosity, physical process mapping skills, and communication clarity.
Required Experience & Educational Baseline:
-
Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree at minimum. A preferred concentration includes Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative/technical field.

System Competency: Comprehensive familiarity with Microsoft Office products and enterprise software applications.
-
Industry Background (Preferred): Prior experience managing transportation, dispatching, or freight routing functions within a high-volume e-commerce or retail domain.
-
Operational Agility: Proven capability to navigate ambiguous, constrained logistics environments and an eagerness to work non-traditional hours (nights and weekends).
Core Technical Stack Competencies:
-
Data Manipulation: Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel (including lookups, complex nested formulas, array manipulations, and pivot tables) and basic spreadsheet scripting.
-
