The Role: Vendor Engineer (Cellular/WWAN)

You will be the bridge between hardware, firmware, and global network compliance, ensuring robust cellular connectivity through rigorous validation and root-cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Validation: Perform comprehensive device testing for LTE and 5G features, focusing on both Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) architectures.

  • Protocol-Level Debugging: Analyze cellular logs using industry-standard tools like QXDM and MBIM traces to isolate connectivity issues.

  • Carrier Compliance: Execute lab and field testing across multiple carriers to ensure devices meet global network conditions and standby behaviors.

  • Root-Cause Analysis (RCA): Identify and resolve complex issues such as call drops, data failures, and attach procedure bottlenecks.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with FW, SW, and Modem teams to triage bugs and drive technical issues to closure.

  • Process Improvement: Contribute to test automation frameworks and improve overall validation coverage using scripting.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated engineer who thrives in lab environments and possesses a deep technical curiosity for cellular signaling.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Protocol Mastery: Strong knowledge of 3GPP standards (LTE/5G signaling, NAS/RRC, and IMS/SIP flows).

  • Hands-on Testing: Experience with high-end cellular test equipment such as Anritsu, Keysight, or Rohde & Schwarz call boxes.

  • Log Analysis: Proficiency in QXDM and modem log parsing to identify failures in the cellular stack.

  • Automation Aptitude: Working knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or Bash for log parsing and workflow efficiency.

  • Experience: 5.00 to 10.00 years in cellular technology validation or modem debugging.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $65,000 to $95,000 per annum (includes bonuses/variable pay).
