As a Business Analyst at Acuity Analytics, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business and technology. The position requires deep expertise in Fixed Income Capital Markets, along with strong experience in trade lifecycle management and trading platform development.

You’ll collaborate with global teams to design and deliver high-performance, real-time trading solutions while ensuring business requirements are accurately translated into scalable technical systems.

🎯 Key Responsibilities – Business Analyst

🔍 Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Work closely with traders, operations, and technology teams to gather, document, and validate both functional and non-functional requirements.

📊 Domain Expertise

Leverage strong knowledge of Fixed Income products such as bonds, swaps, and repos, along with a thorough understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle and regulatory frameworks.

🏗️ Platform Design & Development

Collaborate with architects and engineers to build and enhance trading platforms, including order management systems, blotters, risk modules, and settlement systems.

🔗 Protocols & Messaging

Define and validate integration requirements using SWIFT and FIX messaging standards, ensuring accurate trade capture, confirmations, and settlements.

⚡ Real-Time Processing

Support the development of high-volume, low-latency systems for trade execution and real-time position tracking.

🔄 Workflow Optimization

Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements in Straight-Through Processing (STP), exception handling, and operational workflows.

🗣️ Stakeholder Communication

Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and present solutions clearly to senior stakeholders.

🧪 Testing & UAT Support

Assist QA teams during testing phases, ensuring requirements traceability and successful sign-offs.

🌍 Global Collaboration

Work with distributed teams across the US, EMEA, and APAC regions, managing cross-time-zone coordination effectively.

🧠 Key Skills & Competencies – Business Analyst

  • 10–15 years of experience in Business Analysis within Capital Markets
  • Minimum 5+ years specializing in Fixed Income
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, clearing, and settlement processes
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FINRA, MiFID, and Dodd-Frank
  • Hands-on experience with SWIFT and FIX messaging protocols
  • Exposure to trading platforms like ION, Bloomberg, or TradeWeb
  • Proficiency in documentation tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Visio
  • Experience with real-time transaction systems and market data feeds
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to work with global and cross-functional teams

🎓 Education & Additional Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Knowledge of derivatives (swaps, options) and structured products
