We are looking for a Remote Technical Support Engineer to drive reliability for our global customers. If you have significant experience with pipeline integrity data systems—such as ILI, PODS, and GIS platforms—and a strong background in SQL troubleshooting, we want to hear from you.


 The Role: Advanced Support for Critical Systems

In this role, you aren’t just answering tickets; you are solving complex data modelling and software challenges that directly impact pipeline safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex software problems and provide workarounds for integrity data systems to ensure minimal disruption to customer operations.

  • Data Analysis & SQL: Write advanced queries, troubleshoot performance issues, and interpret data within SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Oracle databases.

  • Customer Advocacy: Act as a technical partner for customer engineers and senior management, maintaining clear communication throughout the resolution process.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with our Development and QA teams to identify software bugs, interpret .NET Exception messages, and improve product quality.

  • Documentation & Mentorship: Develop user guides and technical documentation while mentoring other support staff to enhance the team’s collective expertise.


 Your Profile: The Specialised Problem Solver

We are looking for a candidate who bridges the gap between IT support and pipeline engineering.

  • Experience: 3–5 years in technical support, with specific experience in Pipeline Integrity (ILI, PODS, APDM/UPDM, or corrosion databases).

  • Technical Mastery:

    • SQL Expert: Deep knowledge of stored procedures, indexing strategy, and performance optimisation.

    • Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, and ticket management systems.

    • Software Diagnostics: Ability to interpret stack traces and exception messages (Bonus: Azure Application Insights experience).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to work an On-Call rotation during critical system outages.
