About the Role: Engineering Value through AWS & Data

This role is perfect for a technical lead who possesses a “security-first” and “cost-conscious” mindset. You will be responsible for shaping compelling solutions that help the world’s leading organisations leverage the full power of the AWS ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Architecture: Design and implement data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, and S3.

  • Stream Processing: Build and manage real-time data streams, specifically leveraging Kafka.

  • API & Data Access: Configure API Gateways and query large datasets using Athena and Redshift.

  • Strategic Problem Solving: Solve complex, unstructured problems using professional judgment and a deep understanding of cloud trade-offs.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Interact with multi-cultural and multi-functional teams across geographies to build consensus and achieve project goals.

  • Cost Optimisation: Analyse the pros, cons, and cost impacts of various AWS services to ensure efficient solution design.

Your Profile: Skills & Technical Expertise

We are looking for an experienced professional with 4+ years of hands-on experience in the AWS Cloud platform.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • AWS Mastery: Strong experience with S3, Glue, API Gateway, Crawler, and Athena.

  • Programming: Advanced proficiency in Python for automation and data processing.

  • Real-time Data: Solid knowledge of streaming technologies, with a strong preference for Kafka.

  • Databases: Practical experience with DynamoDB, Redshift, and SQL.

  • Platform: Familiarity with Linux environments.

Soft Skills & Leadership:

  • Strong customer orientation and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to present complex technical solutions to executive stakeholders.

  • Superb team-building skills with a spirit of collaboration over direct authority.
