Position: Data Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst who can combine strong analytical thinking with AI-powered tools to drive smarter, faster decision-making across product, content, and marketing. This role will play a critical part in analysing user behaviour, content performance, app funnels, and growth metrics — while leveraging AI for predictive insights, automation, and advanced analytics.

The ideal candidate understands both traditional analytics and how AI can enhance efficiency, forecasting, personalisation, and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

1) Product & App Analytics

  • Analyse user journeys across the app (onboarding, content discovery, viewing behaviour, retention).
  • Track DAU/MAU, retention, session duration, watch time, churn, and engagement cohorts.
  • Identify funnel drop-offs and recommend data-backed improvements.
  • Partner with Product teams to evaluate feature performance and experimentation results.

2) Content Intelligence & Performance

  • Track short-form video performance, show engagement, IP growth, and category trends.
  • Analyse completion rates, repeat consumption patterns, and content stickiness.
  • Provide insights on format optimisation and audience segmentation.
  • Support predictive modelling for identifying high-performing content themes.

3) Marketing & Growth Analytics

  • Analyse install funnels (organic and paid), CPI, CAC, LTV, and retention cohorts.
  • Evaluate marketing efficiency and attribution performance.
  • Support experimentation across creatives, audiences, messaging, and growth loops.
  • Identify organic growth levers using behavioural data insights.

4) AI-Driven Analytics & Automation

  • Use AI tools and machine learning models for predictive analytics, churn prediction, and user segmentation.
  • Leverage AI-powered platforms (e.g., Python ML libraries, AutoML tools, or AI-enabled BI tools) for forecasting and trend analysis.
  • Automate reporting workflows using AI-based data summarisation and dashboard tools.
  • Explore AI-driven recommendation systems to improve content discovery and retention.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI into marketing optimisation and personalisation strategies.

5) Dashboarding & Business Reporting

  • Build and maintain automated dashboards for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Standardise KPI reporting across departments.
  • Present insights in a simplified and actionable manner for non-technical stakeholders.

6) Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Content, Engineering, and Leadership teams.
  • Translate complex datasets into strategic recommendations.
  • Drive a data-first and AI-enabled decision-making culture within the organisation.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of experience in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence / Growth Analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.).
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and basic ML modelling.
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts such as predictive modelling, clustering, regression, classification, and recommendation systems.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for data automation, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of app funnels, retention modelling, and cohort analysis.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in digital media, OTT, or short-form video platforms.
  • Exposure to AI-driven personalisation or recommendation engines.
  • Experience working with attribution tools (AppsFlyer, Adjust, etc.).
  • Understanding of experimentation frameworks and A/B testing methodologies.
