Job Role: Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst at Tarento, you will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, UX designers, and engineering teams. Your role will involve understanding business objectives, defining functional requirements, and ensuring that delivery teams have complete and clear inputs for successful execution.

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle—from requirement discovery and analysis to backlog management and delivery support—making this an ideal role for professionals who enjoy end-to-end ownership and structured problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client meetings and business requirement workshops to gather and analyse needs.

  • Document functional requirements, workflows, and meeting discussions clearly

  • Define user roles, access levels, and permissions based on business requirements.

  • Break down requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories.

  • Write detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Obtain stakeholder and client approval on scope and requirements.

  • Manage and maintain the product backlog using Agile tools such as Azure Boards or JIRA.

  • Participate in backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure requirements are reflected in designs.

  • Review and validate design outputs against business needs.

  • Support development teams by clarifying requirements, edge cases, and priorities

  • Act as the single point of reference for requirements during the delivery phase

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT, digital, or product-based organisations

  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies

  • Hands-on experience writing user stories and managing Agile backlogs

  • Familiarity with tools such as Azure Boards, JIRA, or similar platforms

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to analyse complex problems and convert them into structured solutions

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in digital transformation projects (web, mobile, enterprise systems)

  • Exposure to UX design processes and usability concepts

  • Domain knowledge in BFSI, Retail, Healthcare, or Enterprise Applications

  • Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, and technical system flows.
