Job Overview

As a Data Analyst at DRRT, you will be responsible for reviewing individual case data, cleaning transaction records, identifying data deficiencies, and ensuring the accuracy of analytical outputs. You will work extensively with Microsoft Excel (advanced level), Microsoft Access, DRRT GPS systems, and other internal tools to analyse investment transactions and loss calculations.

The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams to communicate findings, recommend corrections, and maintain high data quality standards. Once core responsibilities are mastered, you may be assigned additional analytical, reporting, or data management tasks.

This is a full-time, on-site role in Mumbai, best suited for candidates who prefer hands-on data work in a professional office environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review, clean, and maintain large volumes of transaction and investment data.

  • Identify missing, inconsistent, or incorrect data and flag deficiencies.

  • Prepare and support proof of claims for securities litigation and class action settlements.

  • Review and manage custodian confirmations to validate securities-related claims.

  • Analyse investment transactions and loss calculations using Excel, Access, and GPS tools.

  • Compile, organise, and present analytical results based on defined requirements.

  • Combine datasets and analytical results from multiple systems into secure repositories.

  • Export, update, and reconcile existing datasets as required

  • Accurately transfer data from PDF files into Excel for routine and ad-hoc analysis.

  • Create data summaries, overviews, and analysis reports upon request.

  • Efficiently transfer and input data between different software applications.

  • Clearly communicate data findings, issues, and scenarios to internal stakeholders.

  • Perform data quality checks (QA) and troubleshoot discrepancies.

  • Complete additional duties and projects assigned by management.


Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field
    (Equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered)

  • Working knowledge of SQL, statistics, and data analysis techniques

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory.
    (Candidates without strong Excel proficiency should not apply)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access

  • Basic to intermediate understanding of financial concepts, including financial statements and derivatives

  • Familiarity with tools such as Python, R, SPSS, or Bloomberg is an added advantage.

  • Prior experience in data research, validation, or reporting is preferred.
