 Stripe Careers: Financial Data Analyst at the Bengaluru Delivery Center

Stripe, the global financial infrastructure platform, is expanding its Stripe Delivery Center (SDC) in Bengaluru, India. We are on a mission to increase the GDP of the internet, and we are looking for a highly analytical Financial Data Analyst to help us manage the unique scale and complexity of our global payment ecosystem.

In this role, you will be part of a talented team of “Stripes” dedicated to building world-class support and operational experiences. You will dive deep into financial data, money movement, and product insights to solve large-scale technical challenges.

 About the Role: Engineering Operational Excellence

The Financial Data Analyst at the SDC is a high-impact role centred on automation, observability, and process redesign. You will be the primary technical point of contact for streamlining impactful workflows and resolving complex incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve Observability: Create and maintain robust data pipelines and metrics. Use them to detect issues, track process health, and forecast capacity for SDC leadership.

  • Process Automation: Identify automation opportunities within process data. Build and maintain technical solutions, collaborating with business teams for performance and load testing.

  • Streamline Workstreams: Pilot and standardise high-risk workflows to ensure they transition smoothly to the SDC.

  • Incident & Escalation Support: Serve as the primary contact for root-cause analysis (RCA) and incident resolution, establishing guardrails to prevent future recurrence.

  • Training & Documentation: Lead technical training on SQL and Python and maintain runbooks to improve overall team productivity.

  • Insights to Action: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to turn data insights into tangible product or process enhancements.

 Who You Are: Requirements & Technical Skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 4 years in a technical role with heavy experience writing SQL to query relational databases.

  • Domain Expertise: Experience navigating the complexity of financial systems and large-scale technical troubleshooting.

  • Analytical Rigour: Strong skills in root-cause investigation and the ability to prioritise time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Communication: Excellent English verbal and written skills; ability to manage communications between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Operations Mindset: Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment with a track record of proactive problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Payments Expertise: Deep knowledge of optimising processing errors, managing payment costs, and working with financial partners.

  • High-Growth Experience: Prior experience in a fast-scaling technology company.
